Question: I had a DVT in my Rt lower calf 14 years ago. At the time, the physicians related it to birth control pills and an eight hour road trip with few stops to walk. I took six months of Coumadin. I am continuing to have pain and swelling in this leg. I wear pressure socks, exercise and have controlled HT . . .
Answer: I would recommend an evaluation by a vascular surgeon with an interest in vein therapies. There are many options. You may find a vascular surgeon at the Society for Vascular Surgery. Good luck!
